My name is Señorita Sánchez and I’m excited to be your child’s Spanish teacher this year. I am a graduate from Kean University with a B.A. in Spanish k-12. This will be my fourth year teaching in this district. I was previously teaching in the High School level in Scotch Plains/ Fanwood and South Orange/Maplewood District and am very thrilled to be teaching elementary for the third year now.

I am from Perú and as a second language learner I believe that the key to learning a new language is practice and desire. Throughout the School year your child will be practicing Spanish in dialogues, readings, video/audio tapes, games, songs, and presentations. Culture is also an essential subject included in all Spanish classes. In this school year not only will the children be communicating in Spanish but also gain insights and sensitivity to a variety of cultures.
